Interested in joining the lab?

We are committed to diversity and inclusion in our hiring and research practices. As such, we welcome applications from people of all identities and backgrounds, and strive for a lab culture in which multiple perspectives are embraced and valued. Our goal is to minimize barriers to entry for students who are interested in and excited about research.

Undergraduate Students

*** NOT CURRENTLY RECRUITING ***

There are often many opportunities for creative and hard-working undergraduate students to make meaningful contributions to our research. We generally encourage interested individuals to engage via the directed individual study (DIS) channel, though other opportunities may be available.

Depending on experience and level of commitment, DIS students can expect to assist with experimental design, participant recruitment, data collection, and data analysis. Moreover, all DIS students are expected to attend and participate in weekly lab meetings. Preference will be given to applicants who are interested in contributing to our research in more than one semester and for a minimum of 9 hours each week (3 credit hours), although neither are strict requirements. Interested students should email an application to Dr. Martin (cmartin@psy.fsu.edu). A complete application includes a CV, a statement of research/career interests (~300-500 words), and an unofficial transcript. You may supplement your application with an optional statement that outlines any extenuating circumstances that have adversely impacted your GPA.
